J&C Private Hire Agreement/ Terms & Conditions

 It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring this inflatable to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage. They must ensure that the following Terms and Conditions/Safety Instructions are adhered to:

 1.      Full payment is required prior to the setup of the equipment.

2.      Cancellation within 48hrs of hire will result in your deposit being lost and you will still be charged for the full hire.

3.      You are to provide clear access to the area where the equipment is going to be set up before and after your event.

4.      You are to provide 240v power supply.

5.      If the inflatable is to be set-up on a hard-standing surface, then it must be smooth and clear from any debris and sharp objects. On arrival if J&C Events find the ground to be inadequate, we will have no choice but to cancel your booking if there is not a suitable place to locate the inflatable. You are encouraged to be sure about the area you wish to have the hire as any deposits taken will not be refunded, if you are uncertain please call us to discuss.

6.      You must secure all animals prior to setup.

7.      Ensure you avoid mowing lawns on the day of your Hire - Fresh grass clippings can make a very dirty castle

8.      You are not to relocate the equipment after setup has been completed by J&C Events staff.

9.      You the hirer are responsible for any damage to any underground services caused by setup (outdoors – we use pegs/drill anchors and indoors – we use sandbags).

10.   The bouncy castle must be supervised at all times by a responsible person (over the age of 18) who must have read and understood these conditions.

11.   No person or persons under the influence of alcohol and/or prescribed and/or non prescribed drugs and/or any other intoxicating substance will use or supervise the Equipment.

12.   No food, drinks, ice cream or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the inflatable which will avoid choking and mess (Please note if the Inflatable is returned in a unsatisfactory condition then the person who hired it will forfeit their cleaning deposit).

13.   Ensure that all users remove their footwear (except socks), and any other hard, sharp or dangerous objects, large buckles, toys pens, knives, jewellery, badges etc. Spectacles are best removed.

14.   No silly string, face paints, party poppers or coloured streamers to be used either on or near the inflatable.

15.   No pets, toys or sharp instruments to be allowed on or near the inflatable.

16.   Please ensure that children do not attempt somersaults, fight or wrestle and are clothed appropriately, and are not carrying items that may fall out of their pockets and cause harm.

17.   No running from side to side.

18.   No smoking or barbeques near the inflatable.

19.   Never allow anyone to climb or hang on the outside walls.

20.   Always ensure that the Bouncy Castle is not overcrowded and limit numbers according to the age and size of the children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time, as stated on the bouncy castle.

21.   If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains and disconnect the power cord.

22.   Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on and off!

23.   Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the inflatable, or indeed any child who is feeling unwell or has a communicable disease.

24.   Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation/deflation. This is DANGEROUS.

25.   Ensure that an area of 6 feet (2 metres) around each side of the unit is completely clear.

26.   The Bouncy Castle should not be used if it becomes wet on the jumping area. If no shower cover is fitted and in the event of rain, the unit should not be used.

27.   In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable is to be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling (which is normal) can be dried with a towel.

28.   In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users remove themselves from the inflatable immediately. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 2 or 3 minutes later, it should now restart. If it does not, inform us immediately.

29.   Safety mats may be provided, the hirer must make sure that the mats are used correctly at the entrance to the castle and not moved away from the inflatable.

30.   Where safety equipment is provided with inflatable you will have to use it.

31.   The inflatable is manufactured from flame and smoke retardant materials; it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that no part of the inflatable or its ancillary equipment obstructs any escape route.

32.   In the event of a loss of power, for whatever reason, all users should be asked to vacate the inflatable in a timely and orderly fashion.

33.   J&C Events is hereby authorized to enter any premises upon which the equipment may be located or thought to be located for the purpose of collecting the same at the conclusion of hiring.

34.   In the event of rain J&C Events reserve the right to come out and pack up early. Our inflatables must not be used in the rain.

35.   J&C Events holds no responsibility for accidents, injuries or deaths that may occur when hiring the bouncy castle.

 

COVID-19 Precautions – We clean and sanitize the bouncy castle before they go out for hire, on collection or onsite during setup. We can provide a spray bottle and cloth if required.

DISCLAIMER

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PERSONS USING ANY EQUIPMENT HIRED FROM J&C EVENTS DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK AND THEREFORE J&C EVENTS CANNOT AND WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY CAUSED TO ANYONE USING THEIR EQUIPMENT!

 

By signing this disclaimer agreement, I……………………………………………………………………………….. (full name) accept sole responsibility for the safety of any persons using this equipment and agree to ensure it is supervised at all times by either myself or a responsible person over the age of 18 whilst the equipment is being used.

By signing this agreement, I accept full liability for any injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. I confirm I have read and will adhere to all the hire terms and conditions set out (as detailed above).

By signing this agreement, I agree that the equipment I have hired is clean, dry and undamaged and therefore. I also except full responsibility for the equipment and agreed to pay for any loss or damage caused to it, to the value of £1200 The full cost of equipment.

By signing this agreement, I agree to pay the sum of £20 (cleaning deposit) to J&C Events which will not be returned if the equipment hired is in an unsatisfactory condition when collected I.e. If it is in a dirty or muddy state or if the inflatable is return wet, this fee is to cover the cost of cleaning.
